The award-winning lineup of Aging Room cigars (Altadis U.S.A.) will get some welcome additions at the 2018 IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas. Among these new cigars will be the Aging Room by Rafael Nodal Core Series. This cigar collection is an expression of artistry from Aging Room founder Rafael Nodal. Aging Room cigars are intended to show a commitment to small batch production, and use fine aged tobaccos.

Altadis U.S.A. is celebrating Romeo y Julieta's 145 years of cigars by releasing a new limited-edition cigar: Romeo y Julieta Eternal. The blend is made by the Plasencia family in collaboration with Rafael Nodal, Head of Product Development at Tabacalera USA.
Altadis U.S.A. is bringing back a line from Aging Room, Oliveros Gran Retorno. Oliveros Gran Retorno is a small batch production that undergoes a unique aging process. The blend uses extra aged tobacco that has been aging in traditional bales for 24 months, then they rested in “reposado” in the factory Cedar Room for six months, and then the cigars themselves have been aged for at least 33 months after rolling.
Altadis U.S.A. will be shipping the new H. Upmann Connecticut by Grupo de Maestros starting next month, to selected retailers. It is being released in conjunction with the 175th anniversary of the H. Upmann brand. The H. Upmann Connecticut by Grupo de Maestros was envisioned and blended by Rafael Nodal as a unique and bold Connecticut cigar.
In a "strategic alliance agreement," Altadis U.S.A. will begin distributing the products from Boutique Blends Cigars, a company owned by Rafael Nodal, his wife, Alina, and partner Hank Bischoff—and Nodal has accepted a position with Altadis as well. Starting June 5, all orders for brands such as Aging Room, La Bohéme, Oliveros and other cigars by Boutique Blends will be taken and fulfilled through Altadis and its sales team.
Altadis U.S.A. has announced a new version of their Onyx line, Onyx Bold Nicaragua. The original Onyx Reserve line was launched in 2001 and gained fame quickly with a high score in Cigar Aficionado. This new version is designed to be bolder, and is described as medium-to-full-bodied.
Altadis U.S.A. released the Trinidad Espiritu in July of 2019. Now, over a year later, they are releasing a followup cigar in a new blend, Trinidad Espiritu Series No. 2. The original Espiritu actually had Series No. 1 on the band, but that kind of went under the radar. The original scored a 91 in our blind test.
