For the eleventh time, Alec Bradley is releasing their Fine & Rare limited edition cigar this April. This iteration will be limited to 2,500 boxes and called the Fine & Rare BC-(13)4EV.
"I was thoroughly pleased to find that this was a great cigar, especially considering the cigars sheer size. The first two thirds were top-notch. Lots of very pleasing flavors, perfect draw and lots of smoke. The final third, though still great in smoke, burn and ash, was a bit lower on my scale. Still pleasant to smoke, just the added bitterness dropped it down for me. Not surprising though, since this was the end of a very large cigar. I would really like to see how this cigar compares in a smaller vitola." -Jerad (Cigar Federation)
“I was impressed the first half of the cigar. The flavors were enjoyable and not over powering. The taste of cedar and espresso were pleasing to the palate. However, as I began the final third, the flavors gave way to a strong, sour taste. I do not enjoy this because it leaves a bad after taste. Overall I enjoyed the cigar and imagined myself smoking it by a camp fire at the beach or in the mountains.” –Eric (smalls29)
"This cigar was very good. I can easily see myself putting this cigar in any customer's hand. There is enough going on that the experienced smoker won't get bored; yet not too overwhelming for a new smoker. I feel like it would be the perfect morning cigar with a cup of coffee. " -Estevan Z. "All in all, this was a very good smoke at night. Definitely not a morning or early afternoon cigar. This needs to be smoked on a full stomach with something to wash the flavors down with. Other than that, if you are looking for a powerful cigar to sit back and enjoy, this could be in your ballpark. Enjoy if you can and get ready for a true pepper bomb experience towards the end." -Steve (ThaGreatWazoo)
"I would definitely buy this if it was priced right. Aside from the smoke being dry, I enjoyed it from start to finish. There was never a bitter note in the lineup of many interesting flavors. The progression continued as I smoked and the flavors added to each other, never taking away from the rest. I stored this cigar at 67% for the time it was in my possession." -Paul (pmr1010)
"This little perfecto was a flavor bomb from start to finish. There were clear transitions in each third. It should be easily approachable for every cigar smoke and could become someone’s everyday cigar. This might be the best cigar I smoked this year. It will for sure find a home on my top cigar of the year list. I highly recommend you seek this cigar out." -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi)
"This was a very very enjoyable cigar, there were no extreme flavor transitions in fact the flavors seem to mildly transition at the appropriate times staying pretty consistent throughout the whole smoking experience. All the flavors highlighted in the cigar being cinnamon, vanilla, cocoa, leather, and sweet aged tobacco were perfectly balanced for me and came and went at the appropriate times. The draw and construction of the cigar were impeccable making for an overall excellent cigar and a great smoking experience. This is definitely a cigar I would smoke again and recommend to anyone who enjoys cigars. As for pairings, I think the cigar would be excellent with a mocha style coffee or an oatmeal stout." -Angel M. (Angel)
