This year, Altadis U.S.A. celebrates the 175 year anniversary of the H. Upmann brand. This milestone is getting its own cigar, the H. Upmann 175th Anniversary Limited Edition. This cigar will only be offered in one viotla, a Churchill size and comes in 10-count boxes numbered to 14,750. There will also be a special edition humidor offered containing 50 cigars.
Foundation Cigar Company has announced an extension to their Tabernacle Havana Seed CT 142 line, a Lancero. In keeping with the tradition of releasing a lancero extension to his new lines the following year, Nick Melillo is bringing this lancero to the 2019 IPCPR trade show and convention.
Omar de Frias announced today its latest blend, Navetta Inverso Boxer. This is the third line in the Navetta series. The first was the original Navetta, which translates to shuttle in Spanish, in 2017. It used an oscuro wrapper. Next came the Navettal Inverso, which used the same tobaccos, but in reverse order, so the tobacco previously used for the wrapper and binder were now the filler, and the filler were now the binder and wrapper. Now the Navetta Inverso Boxer is that blend tweaked a bit a made in their signature 6 ¼ x 52 Box Press Torpedo. It carries an MSRP of $13.00 per cigar. It will be shown off at this years IPCPR convention.
Today, Drew Estate announced Five Limited Edition Gift Sets and Boxes. The three gift sets are Undercrown Maduro, Undercrown Shade, and Tabak Especial Negra, and the two limited boxes for Kentucky Fire Cured Swamp Thang and Kentucky Fire Cured Sweets. The Drew Estate Gift Sets and limited boxes will be shown off at Drew Estate’s Booth at the IPCPR Convention and Tradeshow.
Drew Estate announced today the ACID Accents Collection, and ongoing Regional Exclusive collection for Drew Diplomat Retailers. This line celebrates ACID's 20 year anniversary. The first two in the collection are “Jay Street Posse” and “B-More 410”. Both will be on display at IPCPR 2019.
Aganorsa Leaf is adding a line to its JFR Lunatic series: JFR Lunatic Loco. JFR stands for Just for Retailers and has been around since 2011. The Lunatic line was added in 2015.
Cubariqueño Cigar Co. has announced that their Protocol Themis Corona Gorda will now be a regular production cigar. It will be shown off at IPCPR 2019.
Today, Black Label Trading Company announced the sixth annual release of its MORPHINE line. Morphone is rolled at James Brown's Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua. It uses a Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper, Nicaraguan Habano binder, and Nicaraguan fillers. It is available in 3 vitolas: Corona Gorda Box Press – 5.5 x 46 (18 count) MSRP $10.50, Lancero – 7 x 38 (12 count) MSRP $11.50, Short Robusto – 4.5 x 50 (20 count) MSRP $10.50.
Mombacho cigars has announced European distribution and a German warehouse with PasionPuro GmbH & Co. KG. The warehouse is based out of Dusseldorf, Germany. The first shipment will begin around the end of June. While Mombacho cigars are already available in Norway, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland and Italy; this will allow them to move into Spain, Belgium, and Luxembourg before the end of the year.
Southern Draw Cigars has announced three new sizes for the Cedrus line. Cedrus debuted last year at IPCPR in one vitola, THE HOGAN a 5.5" x 52 Belicoso Fino. The new viotlas are: Robusto 5.5 x 54, Toro 6.0 x 52, Gordo 6.5 x 60. All, like the original size are box pressed.
