“The beginning was very nice and enjoyable. The predominant flavors were wood and nuts. There were hints of sweet cherry wood and some earthy tones. The flavors remained nicely balanced up unto about the final third. At this point it became bitter and sour. I consider this one an old fashioned cigar. "This cigar was never in my wheelhouse, but I am happy I got the opportunity to smoke it. This cigar expands the palate from prelight to the nub of what a premium cigar can offer in terms of flavor. Maybe my palate is broken.. I have no idea, but the exhale/retro was interesting delivering the wet wood, peat, earth, citrus, salt and flighty cream. "This sample was not only a joy to look at but was also pleasant journey to smoke. This cigar presented creamy cedar, citrus, roasted nuts, sweet fruit, doughy bread, hay, and a touch of cinnamon. In addition to that.. through the nose was espresso, dark chocolate notes, hay, earth, and black pepper. If you have the time to smoke a cigar for 2+ hours grab a few of these, and however many hands this blend took to come to fruition was well worth the work." -Matt C. (Big Matt)
