Cigar News: Protocol Announces Protocol Pool Party Year 1 Protocol Cigars (Cubariqueno Cigar Company) has announced a new limited edition cigar called the Protocol Pool Party Year 1. Like all other Protocol cigars, they are rolled at Erik Espinosa’s La Zona Factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. It comes in one size, a Corona Gordo: 5 5/8 X 46. Protocol Pool Party Year 1 comes in paper bundles of 10, and only 100 bundles were produced. The packaging is remeniscent of summer time pool parties.

The blend uses a Mexican San Andreas Maduro wrapper, Connecticut Shade Binder, and Nicaraguan Corojo from Esteli and Condega for filler. The company describes the Protocol Pool Party Year 1 as a solid medium to medium plus.

Protocol Pool Party will not be offered for sale, instead they will be given to the first 100 attendees to the Protocol Pool Party on Saturday, August 1st, 2020. This event it ticketed in Neptune, NJ. While not the first event of it’s kind, this is the first year after deciding to make it a yearly ticketed event, hence the name, Year 1. This event is 100% outdoor and on a 7 acre picnic ground with an Olympic size pool. This event is 100% compliant with all NJ State Covid Rules and Regulations.
