A gorgeous oily Corojo leaf wraps Indonesian and Nicaraguan binder over an eclectic mix of Jalapa, Ometepe, and Esteli Ligero. Size is 6x52 toro.
The story goes...last year the guys at Exra Zion visited a legit gastropub in PA and were served the best porter they've ever tasted. First sip, they immediately knew that they needed to create a cigar that tasted like this.
I am very impressed with this cigar overall and wish I had more to smoke. The profile changes kept me engaged throughout and the changes were so dramatic that it almost felt like smoking multiple great cigars. The burn was razor sharp but the foot of the cigar was a little loose which made the smoke output a little thin till the final third.
This project began when we stumbled upon the most gorgeous and fragrant Corojo wrapper ever. We knew it was something special and had to be blended as such. No normal filler would do!
In a bittersweet announcement today via their Facebook page, House of Emilio announced that Gary Griffith, Founder and the face of the brand, would be retiring from the company.
