Then there's something called Ristefari. Don't worry if you've never heard of it. By the end of this article you will probably want to go. Ristefari is the brainchild of Riste Ristevski, owner and founder of Jas Sum Kral Cigars (JSK). In a nutshell Ristefari is like a cigar event, a cigar festival and a family reunion combined into a weekend. In early March of 2018 I was fortunate enough to attend Ristefari 2018. Here's a rundown of some of the best points of Ristefari.
"This was an enjoyable cigar for me. A little strong on the finish, but the start and middle parts were very memorable. On top of that, it can easily be enjoyed if time is short, and can safely be paired with coffee and tea, as well as with spiced sodas and most beers and spirits. Hopefully, more of these will find their way into my humidor." -Kevin A. (Kevin A.)
Jas Sum Kral announced today a 2020 Summer release exclusive to the country of Sweden: Sota Kakor. Sota Kakor translates to "Sweet Cookies" in Swedish. The graphic used on the boxes and bands use "kurbits" which is a traditional artwork from a part of Sweden called "Dalarna". Also found in the artwork are horses called "Dalahorses" which are traditional carved, painted wooden statues horses originating in the Swedish province of Dalarna (Dalecarlia).
In July of 2020, Jas Sum Kral came out with a Swedish exclusive, Sota Kakor. Jas Sum Kral owner Riste Ristevski and his Swedish distributor Karl Martin Brix Nelson from Kind Cigars had been working on the project since 2017. The name Söta Kakor is Swedish for sweet cookies. The name of the cigar isn't the only reference to Sweden, as the ring contains traditional elements from the Dalarna region of Sweden.
