Sinistro Cigars has released a new size in their Last Cowboy line, a Lancero. This new size is exclusive for Privada Cigar Club and is only availble at PrivadaCigarClub.com with a few going on in their COTM club.
Sinistro is releasing a cigar to commemorate it's 10th year in business. The Sinistro Coast to Coast 10 Year Anniversary uses a Dominican Broadleaf wrapper, which the company says is a first in the cigar industry. The rest of the blend uses a Dominican Criollo '98 binder, and flilers include Nicaragua, Pennsylvania, Piloto Cubano, Criollo '98. The cigar is described as full-bodied and Medium/Full Strength.
Sinistro is releasing a new line with multiple blends: La Fabrica. This new series consists of small batches of "forgotten" cigars that have been aging for some time. The cigars are unearthed, tested, and given new names. The concept is similar to the Lost & Found series from Robert Caldwell and Matt Booth.
"I use to be a leather tongue smoker but over the last few years, that has shifted to a more balanced profile fan. So it is nice that find a cigar that walks the tight rope between these two profiles. This cigar did just that. It is a full-on flavor but without that heavy punch that most cigars have these days. This cigar will appeal to a wide range of smokers. Easily smokeable under any situation. I will for sure be looking for them once I know what it is. " -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi)
"Overall good salty musty flavor; in the first third some spiciness noted of black and white pepper but this fades after the first third. Overall the cigar was a consistent flavor throughout the whole thing. It burned very fast but the size of the cigar was not too out of the norm." -Chad M. (Chad Tchad)
Sinistro's next cigar will be "Never Walk Alone". The full launch does not take place until the PCA trade show in 2020, but they are releasing a small amount of pre-release boxes. These pre-release boxes will go on sale today, October 17th only at Omerta Cigar Co. in Oklahoma City, and their website PuroCigarHouse.com.
One thing to note I have had this cigar in my humidor for at least two years. As this is the first time having it I can’t really tell you what that age has done to the blend. The cigar started out very light and sweet with a bit of pepper which is exactly what I would have expected from this blend just by understanding what is in it as well as looks. The cigar was a pleasure to smoke all the way through with only a few touch ups here or there that I am sure would have corrected itself. The cigar did crack on me but I chuck that up to winter smoking and a fragile wrapper. I would for sure recommend picking some of these up as this thing just screams “Drink me with some espresso!”
