The IGNITE Series from Southern Draw Cigars has recently brought quite a bit of attention to the Texas-based cigar brand. The special vitolas in special packaging have also helped to raise awareness and bring some good attention to Operation Cigars for Warriors. Now, Southern Draw has announced the third release in the series.
"This is surely a solid choice for anybody looking for a mild smoke with a great body. I think it was the body that impressed me the most. It really gives full body on the palate but the flavors are still fairly light as is the strength. This could easily be an "any time" cigar that I will enjoy again. " -Isaac M. (The Nothing)
Southern Draw Cigars sat out last years trade show due to the recently-announced FDA regulations cigars. But Southern Draw was at the show this year with updates to their packaging and a new blend. Robert Holt even told us exclusively that they plan on releasing all of the Quick Sraw series in a corona gorda format, not shown at the show.
The Southern Draw Jacobs Ladder was introduced back in 2016. Fast forward to mid-2019 and the company added a fifth vitola in the line called the "Brimstone." Not only was this a new size, but included an additional ligero leaf, making it an even stronger version of the company's strongest blend. Now, Southern Draw is releasing that stronger blend in two new sizes: Oblivion and Un Presidente.
I liked this cigar quite a bit. While I was initially worried about that strong mesquite woodsiness overpowering any other flavors that might come my way, the cigar managed - and managed well - to balance that with some other flavor notes that made this smoking experience one that I wouldn’t mind at all revisiting." -Matt Cade (CADE)
For their next project, Southern Draw is turning the reins over to their 10,000 most loyal consumers, valued retail partners and media members. The company has created a very modern Quick Response (QR) portal, accessed from any mobile device, to allow participants to input valuable information including cigar reviews, ratings and recommendations. That data that will be used to determine a new brand to be launched by Southern Draw Cigars in 2023 and a similar campaign that will bring a follow up launch in 2024. For years consumers have offered to test Southern Draw blends test blends, and in some cases, they did. However, the company wants to empower them by harnessing the power of the crowd, to heed their collective feedback and to deliver a product chosen by them, meaning cigar blend, size, and format.
