November 2017 – Ventura Cigar Company (VCC) welcomes Michael Giannini to its Marketing Team, where he will assume the role of Creative Director at Ventura Cigars. With a keen eye for design and market insight, Giannini will lead the brand vision for proprietary VCC products and serve as the Brand Ambassador at cigar events worldwide. He joins the VCC team from La Gloria Cubana, where he most recently was the Director of Innovations and Creative Director for their General Cigar division.
Ventura Cigar Company has announced two new cigars in the Archetype line: Master and Pupil. These new blends will make their debut at TPE (Tobacco Products Expo) later this month. Both of these new cigars were blended by Juan Martinez and Dr. Alejandro Cuenca of Joya de Nicaragua, and rolled at their factory. These new blends will ship shortly after TPE.
Ventura Cigar Company announced today a new line extension in the PSyKo SEVEN series: PSyKo SEVEN Nicaragua. This cigar is blended by Indiana Ortez daughter of tobacco industry legend Omar Ortez. Indiana Ortez is also the blender of the Ventura Cigar’s Fathers, Friends, and Fire limited edition cigar. The cigar will debut at TAA 2019.
Ventura Cigar Company has restructured its national sales organization including some layoffs. The company cites preparation of new FDA regulations expected to hit in coming months. The company said in a press release that Kretek International, parent company of Venura Cigars, remains strong and profitable. Exact numbers of layoffs were not given, but other media outlets have reported the number going from 9 to 3.
Ventura Cigars is partnering with Island Lifestyle Importers to bring the “Hula Paradise Collection” from Tommy Bahama’s cigar accessories collection to market. This collection will be shown off at IPCPR 2019.
Ventura Cigar Company (VCC) has announced a new collaboration between Michael Giannini, Benjamin “Benji” Menendez, and Manuel “Manolo” Quesada. This new project is called Cuban Cigar Factory, and will be comprised of two blends: The Benji Menendez for Cuban Cigar Factory and The Manolo Quesada for Cuban Cigar Factory.
Ventura Cigars is bringing the Third Chapter of it's Archetype Series to IPCPR 2019. This Chapter will feature two blends: Sacred Scales and Dawn of Destiny. Archetype Chapter 3 is a collaboration with E.P. Carrillo and rolled at his factory La Alianza in the Dominican Republic. Carrillo and Ventura Cigar General Manager Michael Giannini have been friends for 20 years and have collaborated before.

The family-run Cuban Cigar Factory has been creating exceptional products for over 20 years, hand-making their cigars with unique blends that have made them local favorites.
Back in June of this year, Ventura Cigar Company (VCC) announced the third series in their Archetype line, Archetype Chapter 3. These cigars started shipping today to the United States. Chapter 3 contains two blends, Sacred Scales and Dawn of Destiny. Both new cigars in the series, blended by Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, stem from the long-term freindship between Perez-Carrillo and Michael Giannini.
