Protocol Cigars announced a new limited edition cigar today to celebrate their second annual Pool Party: Protocol Pool Party 2. THis follows up last years original Protocol Pool Party (PPP). Like most other Protocol cigars, it is rolled at Erik Espinosa’s La Zona Factory in Esteli, Nicaragua.
The Protocol Pool Party Year 2 marks the company’s first ever barber pole cigar. The Protocol Pool Party 2 or PPPY2 for short, is a 6×52 toro with a rabito on the head. The two wrappers are Mexican San Andreas Maduro leaf and Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade.
“We are always looking to do interesting things with our limited releases. We were always curious about doing a barber pole but didn’t want to do anything too gimmicky when it came to the actual cigar. However for a cigar that will be given to those attending our Year 2 Pool Party a barber pole cigar seems perfect! What’s even more exciting is the fact we are using the wrappers of the Themis and Probable Cause to make a really cool and unique cigar only available to those attending this special event!!!” They are presented in a 10 count paper bundle. Only 250 Bundles will be produced. The packaging is symbolic of fun summer time pool parties. The Protocol Pool Party Year 2 complex and is a solid medium to medium plus with spicy rich flavors and a long sweet creamy finish.

The Protocol Pool Party Year 2 will not be sold traditionally. These limited editions will be given to the first 250 attendees to the Protocol Pool Party on Saturday, July 17th. This is a ticketed event held in Mt. Bethel, PA at the Chelsea Sun Inn.
The event is 100% outdoor and on a 200 acre property with an Olympic size pool and hot tub. There will be a DJ and a Live Band. This company says this event is 100% compliant with all PA State Covid Rules and Regulations. The company has implemented several levels of protection to all attendees as they did last year.
