Blind Cigar Review: La Gloria Cubana | Spanish Press Robusto

“Magnificent cigar. I’m not a boxed press enthusiast, but I really enjoyed this one despite the format. The flavors nailed a lot of my personal preferences featuring loads of creaminess, leather; ranging from soft and supple to bold and aggressive, and throughout offered a balanced sweetness. Additional notes of mineral and salt played against the sweet creaminess nicely. ” -John I. (John I.)

Blind Cigar Review: Maya Selva | Villa Zamorano Reserva Robusto

“This was a decent cigar although the lemon citrus notes almost became too much for me at one point. I enjoyed the woodiness and the hints of leafy vegetation and mild nuttiness that was there from time to time. I’d definitely try this cigar again, to re-evaluated the overall flavors and note any flavor changes with an improved draw.” -Diana (ArmyRN)

Blind Cigar Review: Ave Maria | Lionheart Earl

“Really well crafted and lovingly made cigar that is probably the polar opposite of what appeals to my palate. Very crisp, bright and dry flavors. In the early portion there were some fairly negative points offering bitterness and astringency. Overall a fairly mild cigar that may appeal to devotees of a more classic Connecticut flavor profile. ” -John I. (John I.)

Blind Cigar Review: Kristoff | Vengeance Toro

“Really excellent cigar. A bit larger format than I usually reach for, but the super sexy raggedy foot, and the pigtail cap really got my heart racing when I first saw this. Construction was exceptional throughout, and the overall flavor profile was really enjoyable. Nice sweet and super ripe tobacco on point here along with flirtations with some spice, espresso, and pepper along the way. Magnificent cigar. ” -John I. (John I.)

Blind Cigar Review: TRE J | Invictis Centurio

“Very full bodied and flavored from begging to end. It’s certainly not pretty in terms of construction and the draw was way too loose but if you’re looking for a heavy hitting cigar this is a good choice. This is good size since the profile never had any dynamic shifts but I’m not sure how I would have felt if this was in a gordo size. ” -Alan (Eulogy)

Blind Cigar Review: El Artista | Big Papi Slugger

“My first impressions were negative due to the size of the cigar. Eliminating my bias towards that was easy once I started smoking the cigar. It really was a pleasant and long experience. This is still not necessarily going to be a first choice smoke for me but I can say it was flavorful enough all the way through to work for a niche smoke at the right time for me. Well constructed and good looking, I’d revisit this cigar again.” -Diana (ArmyRN)

Blind Cigar Review: La Aurora | Barrel Aged by Karl Malone Robusto

“Pretty solid medium bodied cigar. Not fully my cup of tea, but there were aspects of it that I certainly enjoyed. The transitions from the early portion to the mid portion as well as the mid range to the finale were also really elegant. The final portion was really the best part for my taste, and it wasn’t really a chore to get there.” -John I. (John I.)

“Fantastic smoke. Not as full bodied as I typically prefer, but a really impressive medium bodied experience. Great core flavors of nuts and spice along with blasts of sweetness and floral qualities throughout. Not exactly massive transitions, but there were some nice points of interest along the way.
Really exceptional construction as well. The craftsmanship definitely added to the experience. ” -John I. (John I.)

Blind Cigar Review: Blue Mountain Cigars | El Threesome Toro

“I was honestly surprised by this cigar. When I saw the three different wrappers I was immediately a little suspicious that it was going to be what I call a “hokey” cigar. Gimmick without much to it. I was pleasantly surprised by the consistent good flavor notes and the ability of the cigar to transition fairly seamlessly into the next type of wrapper. It didn’t go from nothing to a beat down and that impressed me more than anything. It kept building in intensity but in a very mild yet noticeable way. This is a great cigar for a herf where everyone can share what they are getting from this unusual cigar configuration. I’d smoke it again!” -Diana (ArmyRN)
