Blind Cigar Review: AJ Fernandez | Días De Gloria Short Churchill

“Overall this was a good cigar. That’s about it….it was good. There were hints of cream, sweetness, orange?? Cotton candy?? Cedar, wood and coffee….I kind of wished the weird flavors of cotton candy and orange stayed around longer so I don’t feel like it was my imagination. ” -Mickey T. (irratebass)

Blind Cigar Review: Perdomo | Estate Selección Vintage Maduro Imperio

“The first third was great and I was hoping that it would continue but it fell off at the middle and went off the rails at the end in terms of flavor. The look and feel of the cigar make me think it’s very well made and even with ashy flavor at the end it still had great smoke production and produced a nice creamy smoke. It’s easier for me to forgive something that burns a little wonky or has a tight draw but the flavor has to be there. ” -Alan (Eulogy)

Blind Cigar Review: Quorum | Maduro Toro

“The first third was good with flavors of woods and dark fruit with a nice sweet finish. The second third was mediocre at best and at one point I considered putting it down. I’m glad I didn’t though because it picked back up in the final third where it shined. I wouldn’t pay a premium for this one, but I would smoke it again. ” -James H. (Keikan Jim)

“Overall, a tasty cigar when you want something similar to a nice glass of bourbon. Mild-medium in body, this blend exemplifies tasty notes of vanilla, oak, and bourbon like sweetness. Easy to smoke from top to bottom, this is an easy recommendation for a well balanced smoke that can be enjoyed anytime without any reservations for a relaxing experience.” -John A. (Bostoneo)

Blind Cigar Review: Gurkha | Cellar Reserve 15 Year Toro

“Overall this was a decent flavor profile.. for nearly the whole stick. Even draws and bad burn knocked this stick down points even more as it caused an unpleasant smoking experience; at least it didn’t blow up. I’d have to sample another before making an ultimate decision on whether or not to put it in my naughty or nice list. ” -John A. (Bostoneo)

Blind Cigar Review: Alec Bradley | Mundial PL #5

“This cigar would have rated much higher in this this category if it were not for the final third. The bitterness that crept in in the final third took it down a few notches along with the work it took to keep it going. The first two thirds shined as bright as the morning sun. The final third was more like a cloudy day with the threat of rain. ” -James H. (Keikan Jim)

Blind Cigar Review: Macanudo | Heritage Nuevo Robusto

“Wow! This was a fantastic cigar! The cigar really didn’t show its true colors until the second third, but that’s fine. In the second third I got that wonderful creamy/buttery flavors. Then in the final third every other sip the cigar really surprised me with earthy tones (no spice) of wood then followed up with cream and butter. This is definitely a box purchase in my future. Would love to pair this with morning coffee as my first cigar of the day….. I’d go even further and say it could be my last cigar of the day too.” -Mickey T. (irratebass)

Blind Cigar Review: Partagas | Limited Reserve Decadas 2019

“A decent looking stick, with great pre-light aromas, and lackluster construction and burn. The flavor profile was okay, middle of the road for me, I feel the lightly packed/rolled tobacco caused this stick to burn too quickly, causing off flavors from the high burn temp. I’d smoke it again, but it wouldn’t be my first choice as the flavor profile was pretty straight forward and didn’t have a level of complexity that I am typically accustomed with true premium cigars. While not the bottom of the barrel in the premium world, a noteworthy smoke that you should try!” -John A. (Bostoneo)
