Blind Cigar Review: El Artista | Big Papi Slugger Score 90%

Blind Cigar Review: El Artista | Big Papi Slugger

“My first impressions were negative due to the size of the cigar. Eliminating my bias towards that was easy once I started smoking the cigar. It really was a pleasant and long experience. This is still not necessarily going to be a first choice smoke for me but I can say it was flavorful enough all the way through to work for a niche smoke at the right time for me. Well constructed and good looking, I’d revisit this cigar again.” -Diana (ArmyRN)

Blind Cigar Review: La Aurora | Barrel Aged by Karl Malone Robusto

“Pretty solid medium bodied cigar. Not fully my cup of tea, but there were aspects of it that I certainly enjoyed. The transitions from the early portion to the mid portion as well as the mid range to the finale were also really elegant. The final portion was really the best part for my taste, and it wasn’t really a chore to get there.” -John I. (John I.)

“This was a very good cigar with excellent burn and flavor transitions. I would definitely smoke this one again. At first, I thought this was going to be a quick smoke, however, it continued to burn well beyond what I expected. Pair with coffee, English Brown or Lightly pleated Scotch. ” -James H. (Keikan Jim)

Blind Cigar Review: La Barba | Ricochet Cru Mexi-Sol Coronita

“Magnificent cigar. Loved it. Perfect format for me personally, and a flavor profile to match. Big, bold flavors of earth with a world wind tour of coffee, molasses, spices, peppercorns and a bit of an anisette flashing around on the finish. Tremendous construction, nearly flawless. Very extremely well made. Nice progression in terms of strength, starts out very manageable and builds to an agreeable and enjoyable full body by the end. Quite possibly the perfect cigar to follow a big meal. I’m buying boxes. No doubt about it. ” -John I. (John I.)

Blind Cigar Review: La Flor Dominicana | 25th Anniversary

“I enjoyed this quite a lot. Nice change from my usual flavor preferences as well as being out of my comfort zone in terms of vitola. Served as a nice reminder to get out of your comfort zone once in a while. There’s a great big world of cigar opportunities out there and it’s nice to step out of your normal routine from time to time. This cigar stayed pretty much in the medium realm throughout in terms of strength and complexity. The display of really nicely refined baked good flavor, floral qualities, finishing with rich dark woody notes offered a nice range of experiences. Aside from some mid-smoke missteps in construction this was a real joy of a cigar. ” -John I. (John I.)

Blind Cigar Review: Casa Cuevas | La Mandarria

“I knew from the look and smell of this cigar I was in for a treat and it didn’t disappoint. Premium cigars should just preform this well in terms of construction, smoke output, and flavor. I think if there was just a bit more dynamic flavor profile changes it would have put it over the top. Still there’s so much here to like I have to recommend picking up a fiver and just enjoying a terrific cigar. ” -Alan (Eulogy)
