Southern Draw Cigars has announced Jacobs Ladder – The Ascension as a new Famous Smoke Shop Exclusive for 2021. Starting next year, it will be available elsewhere as well. The format is a 5.5 x 52 Belicoso Fino. This special version of the Jacobs Ladder has been rolled and aging since 2016 and is made to honor the 21st birthday of Ethan Jabob Holt, the person after which the cigar is named.
Famous Smoke Shop in Easton, PA will host the premiere party beginning at 5pm on September 23, 2021, with whiskey tastings and appetizers to celebrate the newest iteration of the Jacobs Ladder line.

Ethan Jacob originally coined the term “#boldbutapproachable” when asked by a customer to describe the Jacobs Ladder's dark maduro wrapper and rather full-bodied and full-flavor profile and this version certainly stays true to the moniker. The Ascension is intended to be smoked patiently, allowing the tobaccos to warm gradually, intended transitions in body and flavor, enjoyed as one would a pint of Guiness or their favorite stout beer.
The blend uses a Mexican San Andres maduro wrapper, Habano 200 binder from Nicaragua, and fillers from Nicaragua. 10,000 cigars will be made available to Famous Smoke Shop in this initial release. Production for 2022 at other retailers will be 100,000. It comes packed in paper bundles with the words “The Ascension”, the dream of biblical patriarch Jacob in the Book of Genesis, our artistic interpretation identifies Jacob with the obligations and inheritance of the people chosen by God, the origin of the name that was given to Ethan Jacob Holt at birth. The price for a bundle of 10 is $117.99 or $11.79 per cigar.
