The appointment reflects Plasencia’s continued commitment to strengthening its international presence and building long-term partnerships across key global markets. With nearly 15 years of experience in the tobacco industry, Tim has built a sterling reputation for developing successful sales and channel strategies while fostering meaningful relationships throughout the premium tobacco world.
Since 2023, he has supported the Plasencia family business across the Global Travel Retail channel and the Middle East region, helping expand the brand’s presence in these strategically important markets. Based in Rotkreuz, Switzerland, he will now oversee sales efforts across Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA), and Global Travel Retail, working closely with distributors, retailers, and partners to further strengthen Plasencia’s position around the world.
For Tim, the appointment carries a unique personal significance. His first cigar experience came nearly 15 years ago when he selected a Jalapa torpedo from an office humidor, unaware at the time that the cigar had been crafted by the Plasencia family.
