Alec Bradley, recently acquired by STG, has announced a new exclusive cigar and single barrel whiskey pairing series for STG called “The Uncut Series.” This new project will debut with a special pairing of Alec Bradley Double Broadleaf cigars and Starlight Rye Whiskey Cigar Batch, which is aged in exotic Brazilian Amburana barrels.
The whiskey is from a single barrel and personally selected for its elegant nose and rare characteristics by Alec Rubin, Alec Bradley's brand manager of strategic partnerships. The cigar pairing was chosen by Alec Bradley Brand Ambassador Bradley Rubin to compliment the Double Broadleaf blend.
The Uncut Series was created to celebrate the unbreakable bond between cigars and spirits, and it gives me great pride to launch with an Alec Bradley pairing. Through this exciting new initiative, we will leverage our relationships with boutique players and powerhouse brands in the spirits world to pair one-of-a-kind single barrel picks with cigars from STG's renowned portfolio of handmade brands. The Starlight Rye Whiskey Cigar Batch single barrel pick (113.1 proof/56.5% ABV) is a four-and-a-half-year-old spirit aged in rare, sustainably-sourced Brazilian Amburana casks that impart distinctive notes of maple syrup and cinnamon against the backdrop of fresh bread, creating an experience described as reminiscent of French toast. When paired with Alec Bradley Double Broadleaf's notes of earth, wood and pepper, the company says the pairing shows notes of sweet and savory.
The Uncut Series inaugural release featuring Alec Bradley Double Broadleaf cigars and Starlight Rye Whiskey Cigar Batch will only be available through Bourbon Outfitters, starting on September 22, 2023.
Only 101 Uncut Series pairing packages have been created to include a 750 mL bottle of Starlight Rye Whiskey Cigar Batch and four Alec Bradley Double Broadleaf Robusto cigars (5” x 50).
