Initial Impressions

Appearance: 91

“Not the most attractive looking cigar. While it’s a nice milk chocolate color there are many prominent veins and a possible stem. The cap also looks very uneven.” – ()

Aroma: 94

“Fresh Hay & Barnyard with no manure. Is that really barnyard then?” – (randobush)

First Third

First Third

Flavor: 93
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“Healthy ground pepper spice. Thick molasses sweetness. Quite a bit of dry cedar as well. Ground pepper being the most defined note.” – ()

“First puffs bring the creamy chocolate flavor that I had scented off the foot. There are also some very interesting charred notes along with hints of a sweet cedar flavor.” – ()

Second Third
Blind Cigar Review: |

Second Third

Flavor: 93
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“As I’m moving into the second third the strength is beginning to pick up a bit as some pepper is tingling the tip of my tongue. The smoky slightly charred flavor is continuing along with the hints of cedar sweetness in the background. As I move further into this third there is now an even heavier bbq smoke and char flavor especially on the retrohale which also adds in a bit of red pepper. The ash has also been absolutely gorgeous the entire time holding for a couple of inches at a time and a perfect grey color.” – ()

“Not a huge transition on 2nd third from the 1st third. Still, a smooth creamy cocoa powder salted butter dried raisin coming through. A hint of woody oak I detect.” – (randobush)

Final Third

Final Third

Flavor: 93
Strength: Medium-Strong
Body/Complexity: Medium

“Still not a lot of transition in the final third, but that’s ok because the existing flavors are so satisfying. Baking spice, salted butter, still hanging around but the cocoa powder is about gone, replaced with a hint of citrus & leather.” – (randobush)”

“Pepper, leather and wood.” – (Bearded Bastard)

Overall Impressions – Camacho Nicaragua

Draw: 94

“Draw was a bit tight for my preference, not to the point of giving me a headache but not as easy as I prefer.” – ()

Burn: 95

“No burn problems or corrections.” – ()

Construction: 95

“This cigar was well put together. Zero issues.” – (randobush)

Overall Strength: Medium-Strong
Overall Body/Complexity: Medium
Experience Overall: 93

“The profile was nice. Had a draw problem, and that with the veins, but the profile is enjoyable.” – ()

“A great smoke with a nice spice that hits the back of your throat, very enjoyable!” – (Bearded Bastard)

“Overall I really enjoyed the journey with this cigar though it seemed to be almost two worlds. Starting and ending there was such a sweet chocolatey flavor, but through the middle, there was a solid smoky bbq style taste on paper it doesn’t seem to go together but I truthfully barely noticed the slow transition between them.” – ()

“This cigar was very enjoyable. Draw, burn, construction, and flavors were very nice. The thick chewy smoke and smooth retrohale were very pleasant. I’d smoke this bad boy again.”- (randobush)
