“When we released the 2018 LE, we knew we had something special,” commented Crowned Heads co-founder, Jon Huber, “but we really had no idea that the Le Careme Belicoso Fino would go on to do what it did. We actually had made the decision to produce the LE 2019 in September of last year, well before the annual ‘awards season' came into play. We also made the decision early on to increase the total production for 2019.”
The blend for the Belicoso Finos is the same as the regular production cigar using a Grade A Dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, Ecuadorian (Sumatra) binder, and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. Production will be 2,500 boxes of 12 cigars with total production of 30,000 cigars. The cigar will retail as the same price as last year at $10 per stick and $120 for a box. It is still rolled at Tabacalera La Alianza, S.A., Santiago, Dominican Republic, factory of icon Ernesto Perez Carrillo.
