Cigar News: Crowned Heads Releasing ‘The Lost Angel’ 2021

Today, Crowned Heads announced “The Lost Angel” which follows their “The Angels Anvil” series exclusive to TAA from 2014-2019. The Lost Angel is described as a ‘prequel’ to the Angel’s Anvil and explores the darker side of the Angels Anvil story’s protagonist.

The company describes the story behind the brand:

The original Angels Anvil story behind the brand centered around a wingless angel who befriends a blacksmith who then helps him create new wings. The story parallels Crowned Heads co-founder, Jon Huber’s, career in the cigar industry. Prior to the angel meeting the blacksmith, before he learns the secret to forging new wings to ascend by, the Angel first fell. Unlike the heavens above, the earth can be a dark space, and the spirit of The Lost Angel brand is born from that darkness. Though, we should never forget that the tiniest of seeds needs to first be submerged in dirt, covered in darkness, and it is only then that the seed will struggle to reach the light.

The Lost Angel 2021 production is limited to 1,000 boxes of 20 cigars. It comes in one size, a 6 x 52 box-pressed toro. The blend uses a Mexican San Andres wrapper, Brazilian Mata Fina binder, all Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. The cigar is rolled at Tabacalera Pichardo in Esteli, Nicaragua, the same factory that produces both the Juarez and Mil Días lines for Crowned Heads. The Lost Angel will cost $11. 75 per stick and will ship at the end of April.
