Cigar News: Diesel Announces Crucible

General Cigar/The Forged Cigar Company has announced the has announced Diesel Crucible, a new cigar the company says is the third and final cigar what they are now calling the “Elixir Trilogy.” Other cigars now being included in this collection are the other Diesel limited releases “Hair of the Dog” and “Delirium” which came out in 2019 and 2020 respectively. All three cigars had previously been released as Cigars International releases years ago, but now come to the general public as limited editions with updates to the packaging and blends.

Crucible is a limited edition cigar that comes in only one vitola, a 6 x 52 toro. Only 3,000 boxes of Diesel Crucible have been made, and will ship April 26. Each cigar has will sell for $9.99 and come in rustic, ten-count wooden boxes with two compartments, each containing five cigars similar to the previous Elixir releases.

Diesel Crucible concludes the Elixir trilogy on a high note. It’s definitely a full-bodied smoke, and definitely for an experienced palate. But it’s more than that: This cigar takes a sophisticated approach to strength. There are so many intricacies with this blend, it’s like a new experience with every draw. I know you’re not supposed to play favorites but to me, this is the best release of the series.
