Cigar News: Drew Estate Cancels All 2020 Barn Smoker Events

Cigar News: Drew Estate Cancels All 2020 Barn Smoker Events Drew Estate has cancelled all 2020 Barn Smoker events due to concerns about COVID-19. As a consolation, Drew Estate has launched the “Barn Smoker Goodwill Act of 2020.” There will also be a series of virtual events at the scheduled time of the original events open to anyone.

Although a favorite event of the company and its attendees, the decision was made to ensure the safety of their staff, the staff of the farms with whom they partner, and the thousands of Barn Smoker attendees who travel across the country.

The Barn Smoker Goodwill Act starts with an immediate refund of all tickets at all tiers. Next, each ticket holder can submit their address here and Drew Estate will ship them the 2020 Barn Smoker Swag Set that they would have received by attending, free of charge. The package does not include cigars, but will contain everything else and will ship by August 1st. Additionally Drew Estate will donate $10,000 per Barn Smoker, for a total of $50,000, to Cigars for Warriors.

On the date of each scheduled Barn Smoker event , Drew Estate will hold a two-hour “Virtual Barn Smoker Herf,” hosted on Facebook Live, open to everyone. While these Herfs are not designed to replace the experience, they are a celebration open to anyone. Each event will include Drew Estate Ambassadors and their Farmer Partners where they will tell a new part of the story not previously showcased during usual Barn Smoker Festivals.

The Virtual Barn Smoker Herfs will be on www.facebook.com/drewestatecigar at the dates below with times being announced closer to the actual event:

  • Pennsylvania Barn Smoker Virtual Event: July 25th, 2020
  • Connecticut Barn Smoker Virtual Event: August 8th, 2020
  • Kentucky Barn Smoker Virtual Event: September 26th, 2020
  • Louisiana Barn Smoker Virtual Event: October 4th, 2020
  • Florida Barn Smoker Virtual Event: November 14th, 2020

Jonathan Drew Founder and President of Drew Estate says, “It is with great sadness that we’ve come to this decision. Barn Smoker, alongside Cigar Safari, are the experiential programs that we are most deeply connected to here at Drew Estate. I’m also incredibly appreciative to our Consumer Engagement Team, who architected the concept of the “Barn Smoker Goodwill Act of 2020” … in my opinion, going above and beyond for our supporters, our extended family, who had made plans to join us on the sacred farms. We thank you for your love and support … always #De4L!”
