Over the years, the cigar industry has seen many special releases for the Tobacconist Association of America (TAA). Of those releases, many of the biggest brands in the industry have been represented, with a notable exception. Gurkha Cigars, one of the most widely recognized premium cigar brands in the world, never released a limited TAA Exclusive cigar. That all changes this year.
Gurkha Cigars will unveil their first TAA exclusive cigar very soon. The Gurkha TAA Exclusive will be a line extension for the Gurkha Heritage cigar. It uses wrapper and binder of Ecuadorian Habano, and a mix of Peruvian and Nicaraguan filler.
“We are excited to introduce our first ever TAA exclusive cigar and will be making this an annual tradition at Gurkha. We were looking to make something special for the TAA’s 50th Anniversary and we feel this is the perfect cigar to celebrate the association and its members.” said Carlos Llaca, Director of Operations for Gurkha Cigars.
Gurkha made this blend and size to be available for pre-order at the 2018 TAA conference. The cigars will be offered in 10-count boxes, limited to only 1,000 total boxes. It will be a 6 X 52 box press toro size, and the MSRP will be set at $100/box. The Gurkha TAA Exclusive will ship in the Summer of 2018.
