Cigar News: Underground Cigar Shop gets Murcielago BSC Exclusive

Earlier this week, announced that it would be getting an exclusive edition to the Espinosa , BSC (Bat Shit Crazy). It will come in one vitola, a 6×52 box-pressed Belicoso carrying an MSRP of 85.00 for 10 count soft pack presentation.

The cigar itself has a San Andres wrapper with filler and binder. They blended a little more Ligero from both Esteli and Jalapa to give it even more pop than the original .

The cigar will be premiered at UG Roast March 11th 2017. The cigar will only be available at special events and Espinosa Lounges. Espinosa began collaborating with Owners Mark Scott and Don Wiggins of The Underground last April for this offering, and, as the project came to fruition, it was only natural that the cigar would premier at The Underground.

Scott Lewis, Local Independent Espinosa Sales broker, and Fernando Zacharias, Espinosa National sales manager, both hinted that this may be the first in a series of Texas/Oklahoma only regional releases.

BSC was a project originally Started back in April of 2016 with Don Wiggins and Espinosa… The name came from the warped mind of Texas Espinosa Rep Scott Lewis, while the idea for the blend was from the depraved mind of Mr. Wiggins himself. They had tested several blends, each time Don asking for it to be just a little bit stronger… fuller flavored and just as they were selecting our final blend, Don took an unexpected leave of absence.

His idea for the blend was to make a cigar like the , but a little bit stronger. Lewis, feeling it was plenty strong as is, jokingly told him he was Bat Shit Crazy. Thus the name.

When Don returned to man the operations of shop business on a more full time basis, one of the first questions he asked Lewis was about the BSC… Could they resurrect it? Had they ever made any of the cigars? In fact, they had. They had produced a limited run, but, in Don's absence, they were never shipped.

The production was large enough for Espinosa to be able to use the cigars as an event cigar ONLY for the markets of Texas and Oklahoma, but not enough for it to be sold in all of their partner shops as a regular line. Because of the collaboration, the ONLY non Espinosa lounge store that will be able to carry this cigar as a regular stocked item is Underground. And, even then, only until the supplies run out.
