Crowned Heads has announced the fourth limited edition of their Mil Días brand – Mil Días Marranitos EL 2022. Previous limited versions of the cigar have used the same blend as the regular production line, but this one swaps the original Ecuadorian Habano wrapper for Ecuadorian Sumatra Maduro.
Marranitos is a 5 3/4″ x 52 parejo robusto packaged in unique black 12-count boxes.
Total production is limited to 2,500 boxes (30,000 total cigars).
“I felt that after releasing Marevas, Escogidos, and Magicos as limited releases, that Mil Días had reached an evolution point in the brand where playing with the cover leaf became an interesting proposition. We had experimented with several wrapper options; however, when we applied the Sumatra Maduro wrapper to the existing blend, the flavor profile took on a whole other dimension.

The Mil Días line has been around since September of 2020 with four regular production vitolas. It has rated very highly in our blind tasting and made our Top 25 list in 2020 and again in 2021 with the limited Magicós Edición Limitada 2021. Mil Días Marranitos EL 2022 will have an MSRP of $12.25 per cigar. It is rolled at Tabacalera Pichardo in Esteli, Nicaragua, where many other Crowned Heads and ACE Prime cigars are made.
