Espinosa Bringing Back 601 Black for PCA – Cigar News

Espinosa Premium Cigars announced today the re-release of their 601 Black. This time it is coming in only one size, a toro. The original 601 Black was one of the first full-bodied Connecticut wrapped cigars on the market in the early 2000’s. It hasn’t been seen in nearly 10 years. A new version was featured at the “2020 La Zona Palooza Virtual Event” and due to the reaction from event attendees chose to make it a full-release.

We noticed, that in the last few years, there has been a trend towards stronger, fuller-bodied Connecticut wrapped cigars. We believe it is the perfect time to re-release this classic blend and introduce it to a new generation of smokers who never got a chance to try it.

The cigar is rolled at Erik Espinosa’s La Zona Factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The 601 Black Toro (2021) measure 6 x 50 and comes in boxes of 10. Each box sells for $100. The 601 Black will go on sale at the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show in Las Vegas, July 9 – 14, 2021.
