New Rioja Blend by Somm Cigars Hits Select Retailers - Cigar News

Somm Cigars has introduced its new Rioja blend at a select number of retailers, marking the product’s debut ahead of its wider release at the Tobacco Plus Expo (TPE) later this month. The blend is first available in a 5×54 Robusto size.

Vlada Stojanov, the founder of Somm Cigars, selected a few trusted retail partners for the initial launch, noting positive feedback, especially during in-person events. The Rioja blend is inspired by the Spanish region of Rioja and its Gran Reserva wines, known for their quality and value. The blend was developed in collaboration with Tabacelera Diaz Cabrera.

I am extremely excited about more people having a chance to try them soon! The blend pays homage to one of the last, great bastions of value – the famed Spanish region of Rioja and its Gran Reserva wines. Nowhere else do you find such an exceptional combination of tradition, prowess and skill at such an amazing quality to price ratio. With that in mind, who better to team up for this release than the famed Tabacelera Diaz Cabrera.

The Rioja cigar features a three-year-aged Corojo wrapper from the Dominican Republic, a Sumatra binder aged for the same period, and a mix of four fillers from the Dominican Republic, aged between three and four years. The cigar is designed to offer a balance of complexity and strength, suitable for regular smoking.

Somm Cigars‘ Rioja will eventually be available in two sizes: the 6×52 Toro (priced at $14) and the 5×54 Robusto (priced at $13.50). Both sizes come in 10-count boxes.
