Initial Impressions – United Cigars La Gianna Havana Angelic Robusto

Appearance: 93

“This -sized cigar is sporting a Colorado shade wrapper leaf and has a tightly applied triple cap. One layer of the cap is much darker than the rest and makes me wonder about the binder leaf. The rest of the seams are invisible and in general, the appearance is quite nice.” – (Jokey Smurf)

Aroma: 89

“The cigar's aroma is predominantly pleasant notes of cedar, tobacco, and sweet honey.” – (Unpossible_1)

First Third
United Cigar – Blind Cigar Review

First Third

Flavor: 90
Strength: Mild-Medium
Body/Complexity: Light-Medium

“The first thing I notice on this cigar is the tip is really sweet… not sure if it is a trick of the tobacco or if it is sweetened a bit but it's really nice. The first flavors from the smoke are light white pepper and a touch of earth. Through the nose the smoke is just barely spicy and really enjoyable.” – (Jokey Smurf)

“I'm getting a lot of sweetness from the cap but I think it's possibly from a sun grown wrapper. The draw is making it difficult to get a lot of flavor out of the cigar but I can pick up notes of mineral and rich tobacco with a ton of sweetness.” – (Eulogy)

Second Third
United Cigar – Blind Cigar Review

Second Third

Flavor: 91
Strength: Mild-Medium
Body/Complexity: Light-Medium

“Still getting that cream and peanuts flavors, but there is some cedar on the back end. Also picking up some nutmeg and light coffee roast.” – (irratebass)

“Mild peppery notes with a big creamy finish start out the second third in a mild format. This is truly an enjoyable as this third becomes less sweet as it continues to burn compared to the first third while the aforementioned profile plays a great symphony to my senses. Towards the end, rich and buttery notes incorporate themselves, make this a magnificent experience!” – (Bostoneo)

Final Third
United Cigar – Blind Cigar Review

Final Third

Flavor: 92
Strength: Mild-Medium
Body/Complexity: Light-Medium

“Still very mild in strength with no change in the flavor profiles. Picking up more wood and earth notes as this cigar rounds out to the end. Getting into the mild-medium in strength because of this.” – (irratebass)

“As it gets down to the final third, a new contender emerges. The honeyed sweetness transitions into molasses and becomes a completely different profile. You get a bite of baking spices that yields ginger snaps.” – (Unpossible_1)

Overall Impressions – United Cigars La Gianna Havana Angelic Robusto – Blind Cigar Review

Draw: 94

“This cigar has given me an almost perfect draw from beginning to end. There is the slightest resistance from my punch cut and I'm getting huge mouthfuls of smoke.” – (Jokey Smurf)

Burn: 94

“There was a slight waviness but I never needed to do any touch-ups or relights. I was honestly expecting the burn to be worse because of the tight draw.” – (Eulogy)

Construction: 94

“This was one of those cigars that looked like it was expertly made and smoked the same way. I have absolutely no concerns relative to the construction.” – (Jokey Smurf)

Overall Strength: Mild-Medium
Overall Body/Complexity: Light-Medium
Experience Overall: 93

“This was an excellent cigar that I wished I smoked and paired with coffee. It is a very nice mild smoke with plenty of cream, cedar, and nut flavors up until the final FINAL third then more wood and earth notes took flight. I am curious to see what this is and would pick up at least a fiver.” – (irratebass)

“I enjoyed the sweet profile but the draw killed it for me. It started a little too tight and just kept getting more restrictive. I would give this another chance but this was a hard miss for me.” – (Eulogy)

“This cigar was the perfect way to start my smoking day. Just the right amount of flavor and spice to compliment a cup of coffee or a Guinness draft which is what I'm enjoying. I highly recommend it to someone who enjoys a somewhat lighter smoke.” – (Jokey Smurf)

“Wow, what a wonderful cigar. This is one of the better smokes I have reviewed in recent batches. Great complexity in the flavors it offered, paired with a bolder mild profile made this gem a delight to smoke. The only point of criticism I had for this cigar was that the ash was a bit flaky, causing a tiny bit of ash to litter from time to time. Overall though… bravo… I would put this in one of my favorite blind-reviewed smokes smoked to date.” – (Bostoneo)

“Just like the appearance with the subtle single strip of dark tobacco, there's a bit of panache to the profile of this cigar. You get a lovely transition that's carried by sweetness the entire time but presents itself in a different light for the end of the cigar. It's funny though because I really keep going back to how the cigar started with the artificial candied beginning and it makes me wonder.” – (Unpossible_1)
