While the prophecy of the Zombie Apocalypse has yet to happen, that didn’t stop Andre Farkas from creating the Zombie Supershot, a ghoulish, monster-themed follow up to his unique Supershot cigars released last year.

Packaged to look like shotgun ammo specifically intended for Zombie elimination, Zombie Supershots are short, stout, 3 1/2 inch by 54 ring gauge Nicaraguan puros packed in tidy 25-count boxes. Each cigar is covered in a Criollo ’98 wrapper.

“It’s a mash-up of my Zombie line, which came out two years ago, and the Supershot,” said Farkas, adding that the blend is far closer to the Zombie line in character then it is to the original Supershot brand.

There’s a playful narrative that goes with this release. In Farkas’s B-movie script, radioactive fallout from all the powerful smokes he’s put out in the past (recall his full bodied Skull & Bones and Daisy Cutter cigars) have turned much of the population into flesh-eating zombies. The Zombie Supershot is the dramatic answer to his own previous releases. If all plays out properly, the strong smokes should hit retail shelves by May, retailing for $7 each.

“I’m trying to have fun in this industry,” Farkas said with a laugh.
