First Third

The initial light offers flavors of spicy, perique like, tobacco alongside a mineral and salty flavors. The draw is a bit firm but not firm enough to prevent it from being enjoyable. After 10 minutes the profile calms down with a dominate fresh leather flavor and is soon joined by a buttery richness that complements this third.

Second Third

Buttery richness spew forth along with ample amounts of peppery spiciness and a tiny bit of leather lingers in the tongue. This richness tones down towards the latter part of this third while the leather takes a more dominate stance.

Final Third

The richness from the previous third completely mellows out and it settles into a damp leather and cedar profile. This profile lasts through until the end while saltiness saturates the flavors.

Quick Cigar Review: Joya De Nicaragua | No. 1 Overall Impressions

Overall, this was an enjoyable cigar. Usually I don’t smoke milder sticks since they have a tendency to go sour halfway through, however this stick held its ground and provided ample amounts of body with enjoyable flavors! Definitely try out the Joya before you count it out because of a wrapper.
