Omar de Frias announced today a new cigar exclusive to Old Virginia Tobacco (OVTC), Fratello Esclusivo Connecticut. Last year, Old Virginia Tobacco and Fratello launched the Esclusivo, which was a 5 x 52 piramide using a HabanoNicaragua wrapper. The new blend uses an Ecuador Connecticut wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and Nicaragua and Dominican fillers. Esclusivo Connecticut comes in one vitola, a 6 x 52 parejo. Only 300 boxes of 20 were made. Esclusivo Connecticut will sell at all 7 stores of the Northern Virginia chain.
“I approached Gary (Owner of OVTC) earlier this year about expanding on the Esclusivo line. The idea was to challenge the success we had with the Habano and expand the line so OVTC customers have another exclusive cigar to enjoy in their stores,” said de Frias.
A launch event will take place for the Esclusivo Connecticut on December 13th, 2019. It will cost $8.75 per cigar. The cigar is rolled at Joya de Nicaragua. This is the sixth store exclusive for Fratello Cigars.
