Black Works Studio (BLK WKS) has announced the second release of their Hyena line. Hyena came out in 2021 and was rated very highly in our blind testing scoring a 94, and placing #7 on our top 25 cigars of 2021. The 2022 edition of the cigar will ship to retailers later this month. It will also be available in Belgium and Germany.

The profile is spice forward with white pepper & semi-sweet baking spices blended with herbal notes & cedar. The finish is a blend of bitter cocoa, cream & malt. The blend for Hyena uses an African Cameroon wrapper, Nicaraguan Habano binder, and Nicaraguan fillers. It comes in two sizes: Corona Gorda – 5 x 46 (20 count) MSRP $12.50, and Lonsdale – 6.5×42 (20 count) MSRP $12.50. They are rolled like all other Black Works Studio and Black Label Trading company cigars in Esteli, Nicaragua at Fabrica Oveja Negra.
