Gurkha Cigar Group International has announced three new cigars to be shown off at the PCA Trade Show in Las Vegas, NV next week.
The 35th Anniversary by Gurkha Cigars is the first new cigar showcased at PCA. Made in the Dominican Republic by El Artista, this cigar debuts in a 150 count humidor with 75 cigars in 3 different shapes and sizes (25 of each configuration). The Toro (6×54) will retail for $10.95, the Torpedo (6 1/8×52) will retail for $11.49, and the Figurado (6 3/4×52 will retail at $11.95. “This ornate, piano finish, red humidor will be a great addition to anyone’s cigar and accessory collection,” says Juan Lopez, Vice President of Sales. “The cigars inside are even better! A beautiful Habano wrapper covers the 35th Anniversary with an Indonesian binder and Criollo 98 Nicaraguan Esteli fillers.”
Gurkha is also releasing a 25th Anniversary edition of a well established cigar in their portfolio. The Beauty 25th Anniversary will be shown off in a box that opens wide with 25 frosted tubes inside. “It’s been 25 years since Gurkha first introduced the Beauty and it’s still a favorite cigar amongst connoisseurs,” comments Jim Colucci, President and CEO of Gurkha Cigars, “so we decided to do a special release on the Beauty honoring the 25 year anniversary.” With a Corojo wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Ecuadorian Broadleaf fillers, the Gurkha 25th Anniversary Beauty will retail at $30 a piece and will be made in the Dominican Republic by Las Lavas Cigars.
Gurkha Cigars will also be honoring the Year of the Dragon 2024. The Year of the Dragon is a limited release with 1,000 numbered, red piano finish boxes with ornate gold dragons on top. Each box will contain 15 Figurado (6 3/4×52) cigars made by El Artista in the Dominican Republic. This proprietary blend will have an MSRP of $25 and will be sold by invitation only at the PCA Convention.
Gurkha Cigar Group also introduced two new projects released earlier at the year at the TPE (Total Product Expo): The Gurkha Ghost Connecticut and the Grand Age II. This is the first time that premium cigar retailers that did not attend TPE or TAA will be seeing these releases.
