Cigar Info
Warped Cigars introduced the second installment in their Seleccion Domain series, the Warped Seleccion Domain 4546, following its initial unveiling through the company’s DROP Cigar Club. This series distinguishes itself by featuring cigars from different factories, each with a unique colored band to signify its origin: green for El Titan de Bronze, red for Tabacalera La iSLA, and black for an anticipated release from Aganorsa Leaf. The Seleccion Domain 4546, showcasing a red band, is a testament to Warped‘s founder, Kyle Gellis‘s intention to highlight the distinct characteristics and strengths of each factory’s tobacco and craftsmanship.

The 4546 variant is crafted at Tabacalera La iSLA in the Dominican Republic, embodying the youthful and innovative spirit of the factory. It is rolled in a Rothschild size, measuring 4.5 inches by 48 ring gauge, and features a Dominican Corojo wrapper, Dominican Cotui binder, and fillers from both the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, with a focus on Dominican tobaccos. Available in boxes of 25, this cigar is positioned as a regular production offering from Warped, with each piece priced at $9.00 MSRP. The Seleccion Domain series aims to celebrate the diverse backgrounds and expertise of each factory involved, with the 4546 specifically showcasing the flavors and qualities of Dominican tobacco, complemented by Nicaraguan filler to enhance its profile.

Initial Impressions – Warped Selección Domain 4546
This cigar has a nice medium brown wrapper with what appears to be a double cap and has a decently dense pack. The seams are visible, but tight. As for the aroma on the wrapper, it has a slight sweet tobacco and cocoa smell followed by a faint hint of cinnamon, on the foot a very mild tobacco smell with a bit of cedar.
First Third:
In the first third, the cigar has a small amount of black pepper that comes through on the smoke and on the lips with flavors of leather and cedar mixed in. The smoke is a tad bit dry and slightly warm, but does not distract from the enjoyment of the cigar. This cigar is starting off medium to full in strength and flavor.
SecondThird:
In the second third, the white pepper has pretty much disappeared. The leather and cedar remain. The smoke has smoothed out and cooled down a bit, making the second third much more enjoyable. It also remains medium to full.
Final Third:
In the final third, the cedar and leather remain with the addition of some baking spice, making for a very enjoyable transition. The smoke has gotten even a little bit smoother and cooler and is finishing out excellently.
Overall Impressions:
Overall, this is a fantastic cigar. All of the transitions from each third made the cigar quite interesting and enjoyable. The size of the cigar makes the time to smoke the cigar quite nice for when you’re short on time. The strength and flavor of the cigar are all right between medium and full. I would recommend this cigar to friends and family, and it is definitely one that will be in my rotation.
Final Score: 92
