Crowned Heads has announced the return of the Le Carême Belicosos Finos. Le Carême Belicosos Finos LE 2022 makes the fourth release of the limited edition cigar in the last five years. The shape was originally inspired by the iconic Cuban Bolivar Belicosos Finos. It measures 5 1/2" x 52 and is a round cigar unlike the regular production Le Carême line which is trunk-pressed.

"I was very excited to smoke this prelight since it looked great with the torpedo cap and perfect construction. The flavors fell a bit flat for me, though. It just doesn't oomph to match the uptick in nicotine around the halfway point and I'm more of a flavor over strength person. It isn't bad but it just doesn't do anything for me personally. "I don't usually go for the bigger cigars but this was excellent start to finish. The sweet cocoa at the beginning that morphed into buttered toast and warm cinnamon at the midway point was perfectly balanced by charred oak and black pepper on the retro. Black Works Studio (BLK WKS) has announced the second release of their Hyena line. Hyena came out in 2021 and was rated very highly in our blind testing scoring a 94, and placing #7 on our top 25 cigars of 2021. The 2022 edition of the cigar will ship to retailers later this month. It will also be available in Belgium and Germany.

"I really enjoyed what this cigar offered. The complexity was there and kept me engaged throughout the entire session. Delicious notes of hazelnut, cedar, and red pepper worked in harmony, along with some orange zest to keep things interesting. Then you add in the parts with milk chocolate at the beginning and coffee towards the end, you're left with a fulfilling experience that I wouldn't mind revisiting in the near future.
