Cigar News: JR Cigar Announces Romeo y Julieta Edicion Limitada JR 50th

2021 Marks the 50th anniversary of JR Cigar, and to celebrate they are releasing the Romeo y Julieta Edicion Limitada JR 50th.

“We are incredibly fortunate to work with JR Cigar on this momentous project. From its complex blend, to its packaging and even the band, Romeo y Julieta Edicion Limitada JR 50th is the perfect cigar to launch this year-long celebration. We are looking forward to many more years of working with the JR team.”

Rafael Nodal, Head of Product Capability for Altadis U.S.A.

The Romeo y Julieta Edicion Limitada JR 50th is rolled at Altadis’s factory in the Dominican Republic, Tabacalera de Garcia. The blend uses tobacco from four countries including a Criollo Mexicano wrapper, Connecticut Broadleaf binder, and fillers from the Dominican and Nicaragua.

Each cigar comes in a flashy red tube and is then packaged in a red and gold box. Each box contains 12 cigars and they come in one size, a 5 x 54. The company is calling it a Rothchilde but that fits more in line with a robusto. Each box sellls for $180 and only 500 will be made. The Romeo y Julieta Edicion Limitada JR 50th goes on sale Monday, February 22, only at www.JRcigars.com.
