Cigar News: Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival Cancelled

Cigar News: Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival Cancelled Rocky Mountain Cigar festival has been cancelled due to COVID-19. They were one of the last holdouts in hopes of holding the event under new guidelines. There has been a Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival every year starting 2009. The company released this statement:

RMCF Announcement June 17th, 2020

Smoker Friendly is sad to announce the 2020 Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival scheduled for August 29th at the Omni Interlocken Hotel in Broomfield, Colorado is cancelled due to restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

All patrons that have already purchased a ticket package to the 2020 RMCF will be issued a complete refund.

In lieu of the traditional Festival we have all come to love, we will be offering a “Virtual Festival Package” that will include 35 great cigars and an RMCF cutter. Additionally, there will be deals offered on select cigars through Smoker Friendly stores and paylesscigarsandpipes.com. In partnership with Cigar Dojo, there will also be a “virtual show” on August 29, 2020 featuring many of the industry personalities speaking about their companies and cigars. The cost of the package is $120 which includes shipping
direct to customers within the US. Full details are available on rmcigarfestival.com and to purchase tickets use the “Get Your Ticket” link that will direct you to Eventbrite.

Tickets for the “Virtual Festival Cigar Package” will be available first come, first served to attendees that already purchased a ticket to the 2020 RMCF with any remaining tickets going on sale to the public on June 29th. While we are disappointed we will not
be able to hold the traditional RMCF this year, it became very apparent gatherings like the RMCF are not likely to resume in 2020, and more importantly we felt the safety and health of our consumers, vendor partners, and team members necessitated this
change.

Smoker Friendly is very appreciative for the support of the RMCF from our customers and the cigar industry through the years, and we are very excited to be back better than ever in 2021!

Note to Vendors: Smoker Friendly is still planning on hosting the 2020 SF Conference and Tobacco Festival scheduled August 26th – 28th . If there are any changes to this schedule the SF team will communicate such changes immediately.
