The El Catador de Las Petite Coronas is the only new addition to the RoMa Craft portfolio at IPCPR 2015. This sampler of 10 cigars all come in the 4 x 46 Petite Coronas from their five core lines: Intemperance EC, Intemperance BA, CroMagnon, Aquitaine, and the newly released Neanderthal. The MSRP if the sampler is $62.50.
This is an IPCPR 2015 exclusive and must be ordered at the show. It will be released to other retailers post-IPCPR if inventory remains. Production is limited to 600 boxes and limited 10 Per Retail Storefront.
“I have really enjoyed releasing the samplers in this series because it provides our customers, and a friend, with the ability to conduct their own horizontal tasting of cigars in the same Vitola from different blends.” – said Skip Martin, Owner of RoMa Craft Tobac. “For the first time, this sampler includes three previously unreleased cigars that do not otherwise exist in our core lines.”
He went on to say, “The 4 x 46 is the size I smoke the most at the factory, usually an Intemperance BA XXI Intrigue or EC XVIII Charity, but a few years ago we started making CroMagnon and Aquitaine in this size. I wasn’t sure the Neanderthal blend would work in this small format, given the amount of filler components, but it does and it is an amazing little powerhouse.”
“The variance in the density of the tobaccos from blend to blend is very interesting, and in this format they are demonstrated by smoking times that vary from blend to blend even though the size is the same. All in all, this has been one of my favorite side projects at Nica Sueño and I am very interested to see how these new sizes are received.”
This is the fourth in the El Catador series. Previous releases included: Perfectos (5 x 50), Panatelas (5 1/2 x 37) and Gran Robustos (5 x 56) and were limited to a single retailer.
All four will be released, with a fifth El Catador, in November as a part of a box set containing all five samplers.
