Crowned Heads has announced the Four Kicks Capa Especial Lancero LE 2022. This is the first lancero the company has made since the Four Kicks Maduro Lancero in 2018.
The original Four Kicks Capa Especial debuted in Spring of 2020. It was technically an offshoot of the original Four Kicks line, although the story goes that it was a contender for the final blend of the original that didn’t make the cut.
The Four Kicks Capa Especial Lancero will measure 7 1/2″ x 38 and come in 12-count boxes. Production is limited to 2,500 boxes, or 30,000 total cigars and has a retail price of $11.95 per cigar. It is rolled at Tabacalera La Alianza, S.A., in Santiago, Dominican Republic, under the supervision of Ernesto Perez-Carrillo. Four Kicks Capa Especial Lancero LE 2022 will ship in October.
We’re extremely excited to bring the Capa Especial Lancero to market. The lancero is such a storied vitola and it’s been absent from our portfolio for over 4 years; it’s an exquisite expression of the Four Kicks Capa Especial blend.

The lancero was a vitola that was first rolled at the El Laguito factory in Havana, Cuba, in the 1960’s with the creation of the Cohiba brand, and soon thereafter became known as the Laguito No. 1 throughout cigar factories in Cuba. Today, the lancero retains a reputation among cigar enthusiasts as on of the most elegant vitolas.
