Crowned Heads Makes Le Pâtissier Regular Production – Cigar News

Crowned Heads has announced be showing off a regular production Le Pâtissier at the 2022 PCA Convention and Trade show in Las Vegas, July 9-12. Crowned Heads Le Pâtissier came out last year as a PCA exclusive measuring 6 1/2 x 44 and was a limited production. Now one year later, the cigar will be available to all in 4 new vitolas. The blend for Le Pâtissier is an offshoot of the Le Careme, but is quite different in flavor profile.

We knew going into last year’s PCA show that we had something special in the Le Patissier blend. Having said that, dialing that blend down into a 44 ring gauge was a challenge as we could only use lower priming wrappers that would yield a thinner cover leaf. Immediately after the release, we went to work on repurposing the Le Pâtissier blend into a slightly larger ring gauge range, and it took the flavor profile and performance to the next level. The result is a Broadleaf (Cl) expression that is completely unique to any of our previous forays with that wrapper.

Le Patissier will come in four vitolas: Senadores (6 1/8″ x 48), No. 50 (4 3/8″ x 50), Canonazo (5 7 /8″ x 52), and No. 54 (5 3/8″ x 54). The blend uses a Grade A Dark Connecticut (Broadleaf) wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and filler tobaccos from Nicaragua and Costa Rica. MSRP ranges per stick from $10.50 to $12.00. The cigars are rolled at Tabacalera Pichardo in Estelí, Nicaragua and will ship July 2022.
