Drew Estate has announced that their Limited Edition Herrera Estelí Lanceros are returning as a Drew Diplomat Program exclusive. The two lanceros are the Herrera Estelí Habano Lancero and Herrera Estelí Connecticut Broadleaf Lancero. Both cigars will be showcased during Drew Estate's “Freestyle Live: Special Edition” broadcast, which will air tomorrow night from 7 to 9 p.m. Eastern on the company's Facebook Live page and YouTube channel.
Only four bunchero-rollera teams at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate are allowed to make the Lancero size (7 x 38), which is famously hard to roll because the narrow ring gauge can restrict the cigar's draw.
The Lancero is generally my favorite size, but that's especially true for the Herrera Estelí Habano and Herrera Estelí Connecticut Broadleaf cigars. Both blends are made from wrapper leaves that are rich and bold. The Lancero size allows the smoking characteristics of those beautiful leaves—especially their nuances—to truly grab your attention.
Drew Estate Master Blender Willy Herrera
The blend for the Herrera Estelí Habano Lancero uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Honduran Habano binder and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. The Herrera Estelí Connecticut Broadleaf Lancero uses a higher priming of Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper that Drew Estate reserves for use in only this cigar, blended with a Brazilian Mata Fina binder and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos.

The lanceros will be available to all qualifying Drew Diplomat Program participants. Both cigars come presented in 15-count boxes with an MSRP of $194.24.Both Herrera Estelí Habano Lancero and Herrera Estelí Connecticut Broadleaf Lancero will ship beginning in July.
