Drew Estate has started shipping Nica Rustica Adobe. This is the second blend in the value-priced Nica Rustica line following the original back in 2013. The Nica Rustica Adobe was revealed during the May 12 broadcast of “Freestyle Live: Special Edition,” and previewed by guests at the DE25 Exclusive Pre-Party event before the Florida Barn Smoker. Nica Rustica Adobe is an homage to the soul of the lively and romantic barrios and colorful colonial houses of Estelí, Nicaragua, home to La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate.
While the blends are similar, the Nica Rustica Adobe replaces the Nica Rustica Connecticut Broadleaf’s wrapper with a Habano wrapper. The rest of the blend uses a Brazilian binder and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos from Estelí and Jalapa. It comes in three viotlas: Toro (6 x 52) $5.76/cigar, Robusto (5 x 54) $5.20/cigar, and Gordo (6 x 60) $6.48/cigar, and is packed in 25-count boxes featuring colorful original artwork designed by Subculture Studios. Nica Rustica Adobe’s artwork also features Estelí’s official symbol, El Brujito, an estimated 6,000-year-old petroglyph of a native shaman that was discovered on a rock atop a mountain near the city.
Nica Rustica Adobe presents a daring adventure into the authentically rugged and rustic countryside surrounding Estelí. The spicy and bold Habano, we call ‘Adobe’ offers smokers a glimpse into the distinguished beauty and bold character of Estelí and her people. You don’t need a passport to experience Estelí … just spark up this six-buck-chuck and you are magically transported to our proud Nicaraguan home.
