Foundation Cigars revealed today that they are transitioning their lines El Güegüense and The Wise Man Maduro into “The Wise Man Corojo” and “The Wise Man Maduro,” and will now be produced at My Father Cigars S.A. This partnership marks a significant moment for Foundation Cigars and its departure from Aganorsa Leaf.

The decision to discontinue the current El Güegüense line was made to focus on these new releases, aiming to continue providing exceptional products to their customers. Melillo remarked, “While it's bittersweet to say goodbye to the El Güegüense brand, it holds a special place in the history of Foundation Cigars. We believe it will become one of our most collectible and sought-after cigars.”
The Wise Man Corojo features an all-Nicaraguan blend with filler tobaccos from Garcia's farms in Estelí, Condega, and Jalapa, Nicaragua. Alternatively, the updated The Wise Man Maduro includes fillers from the same regions but is differentiated by a rich San Andres Mexican wrapper.
These cigars are set to debut at the PCA Trade Show in March 2024, with availability to authorized retailers and consumers worldwide beginning mid-April 2024. The lines will be offered in the following sizes: 7 x 54 Doble Corona, 6 x 52 Toro, 5 ½ x 50 Robusto, and 5 x 48 Corona, with prices ranging from $10.50 to $13.50 per cigar.
