Altadis U.S.A. and their VegaFina brand showed off a new cigar inspired by the zodiac sign for 2022 at the Tobacco Plus Expo 2022. The VegaFina Year of the Tiger will go on sale later this month and marks the fourth time the company has released a cigar celebrating the Chinese New Year.
The blend for the VegaFina Year of the Tiger uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and filler from Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. It comes in one size a 6 1/8 x 52 Toro Extra. It is rolled at Altadis’s Tabacalera De Garcia out of the Dominican Republic
The limited-edition packaging is a pagoda shaped box with a red design and golden details that pay tribute to traditional colors used to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Every 16-count box has two layers of eight cigars (a lucky number in China), which have been finished with VegaFina‘s standard band and a tiger designed band on the foot of the cigar that complements the box. Each box has an MSRP of $175.20.
