Initial Impressions

Appearance: 93

“This is a very nice shade cigar that is draped in a silky smooth leaf with just a couple of veins. The seams are tight and nearly invisible and the cigar seems to have been rolled very evenly. There is a bit of a ridge that is perfectly straight and down each side of the cigar…apparently from the mold this cigar was pressed in. Not something I’ve noticed on many of the cigars I’ve smoked with the exception of box press.” – (Jokey Smurf)

Aroma: 90

“Mostly grassy and barnyardy flavors are present. The dry puff brings out some tobacco and a mild spice that I cannot place.” – (Djangos)

First Third

Flavor: 92
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“This was a hard cigar to describe. There wasn’t a lot of strength from the smoke itself but the flavor and the amount of flavor was towards full. I tasted a very rich combination of roasted nuts mixed with a heavy barnyard scent. That might not sound good to some but to me it’s delicious! The burn was even for the first third.” – (pmr1010)

“The initial third starts off with a mild pepper and barnyardy flavors. Most prominent are hay and dry grass. There is also a slight wet mud like flavor. The pepper remains mild throughout the third. There are some woodsy notes as well like hickory. Quite enjoyable at this point. The burn is sharp and even. The draw and smoke production are excellent with tons of creamy white smoke. The ash is light gray and flaky and holds less than an inch before falling off.” – (Djangos)

Second Third

Blind Cigar Review: |

Flavor: 91
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“The middle third starts off with the same hay and grass as the predominant flavors. The spice and woodsy flavors are however much more muted now taking away from the complexity. The mild pepper is still present. As the middle progressed the cigar began to bulge and the wrapper just disintegrated into several pieces. I tried to smoke beyond the half way point but was unable to do so since the wrapper just fell off. This is a shame given the interesting flavors and complexity.” – (Djangos)

“The flavors of cedar, leather and cream have continued over from the first third. The giant crack doesn’t seem to be affecting much so far. Further in, the creaminess and leather turn into a latte flavor, a nice transition. Just a tad of spice has come in, just enough to keep it interesting to me.” – (rhetorik)

Final Third

Blind Cigar Review: |

Flavor: 91
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“The nutmeg became spicier as it moved to the front, giving a nice boost in strength to the cigar. The sweet grassy cedar picked up the cocoa flavor and remained creamy tasting, although there was a touch of heat at the very end.” – (shuckins)

“Still no change in the flavor profile of this cigar…super mild and creamy…that sums it up. I’ve tried a lot to make this get a bit harsh, or change, and just couldn’t do it. I don’t think this cigar has any harshness built into it…even if I puff it like a chimney it just stays smooth and cool. For a mild smoker, or rookie, this is a PERFECT cigar…for an experienced guy, there just isn’t enough to keep me locked in.” – (Jokey Smurf)

Overall Impressions

Draw: 93

“The draw was a little tight at the beginning but opened up nicely soon after.” – (shuckins)

Burn: 95

“The rate of burn was excellent and the burn line was nearly perfect for the duration of the smoke.” – (Jokey Smurf)

Construction: 93

“Aside from the tighter draw this was a very well made cigar. An appealing looking wrapper that was rolled and finished nicely. Firm with some give to the pinch. All in all a very nice cigar.” – (pmr1010)

Overall Strength: Medium
Overall Body/Complexity: Medium
Overall Experience: 90

“A nice mellow smoking cigar. The flavors were gentle on the palate, although another dimension would have been a plus.” – (shuckins)

“I really enjoyed this cigar. I had a very hard time describing the flavors but they were good and they were stronger than I thought they would be from the look of the cigar. This was a cigar I’d buy a box of.” – (pmr1010)

“The cigar was great till the midway mark. The flavors were great with good complexity. However, the wrapper falling off did not allow me to smoke beyond this point. I am definitely curious to know what this one is since I want to give this another chance.” – (Djangos)

“There were no negatives to the experience this cigar presented, but there were just not enough flavors and not enough strength to keep an experienced cigar smoker involved. I would highly recommend this to a new smoker, or someone who has no tolerance for nicotine…I would not recommend it to my cigar smoking friends.” – (Jokey Smurf)

“This was one of the better cigars I have smoked recently, I really enjoyed the flavors. It was mild, but not so much that I wouldn’t smoke it in the evening. The construction was great, even with the split in the wrapper. If I was the only one that had it split, I would not hesitate in buying more of these.” – (rhetorik)
