Crowned Heads showcased two releases this year: Four Kicks Maduro and Luminosa. The latter was available last year as part of a soft launch with a full launch this year including a new vitola the petite corona.
The Four Kicks Maduro is a line extension of the Four Kicks that was one of Crowned Heads first cigars back in 2011. Instead of an Ecuadorian habano wrapper this uses a Connecticut habano. It has the same Nicaraguan binder and fillers. It will come in four sizes: Corona Gorda (5 5/8 x 46) — $8.95 (Boxes of 24, $214.80) Robusto (5 x 50) — $9.60 (Boxes of 24, $230.40) Sublime (6 x 54) — $10.40 (Boxes of 24, $249.60) Robusto Extra (5 1/2 x 56) — $10.65 (Boxes of 24, $253.44).
The Four Kicks Maduro is rolled at Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr.'s Tabacalera La Alianza S.A. factory in the Dominican Republic, which produces lots of the company's lines, including the original Four Kicks.
This is not to be confused with the Four Kicks Mule Kick, a limited edition vitola which uses a higher priming wrapper, or the Four Kicks Belt Buckle, an exclusive line made for Famous Smoke Shop that uses a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper. Crowned Heads will begin shipping the Four Kicks Maduro in August.
