Initial Impressions
Appearance: 94
“This is a solidly built cigar. Smooth with a few veins showing but not enough to make it look rough. The brown wrapper is slightly on the suede side. Oils are noted but almost on a muted level. I like what I see and am anxious to give it a try.” –Diana (ArmyRN)
Aroma: 88
“Tea leaves and earth. Barnyard is present from the foot, but not unpleasant. ” –Adam B. (Bushboy)
First Third
Flavor: 90
Strength: Medium-Strong
Body/Complexity: Medium-Full
“Very nice! Coffee grounds, and rich earth up front, very strong. flavors. Some pepper, leather, and hints of cocoa, but with almost no sweetness. I like it!” –Derek (StogieNinja)
“This cigar just bursts with flavor right out of the gate. There is a ton of upfront pepper that coats your mouth and sits nicely on the tip of my tongue. There is also a rich leather that really adds a complex note to the copious amount of chewy smoke. This cigar has been really good right out of the gate!” –Jeff (ExpendableYouth)
Second Third
Flavor: 92
Strength: Medium-Strong
Body/Complexity: Medium-Full
“The ash is light and fluffy. It holds well but when I set it down it broke off fairly easy from the slight tap on the ashtray. It smokes faster than I thought it would but it is still a relaxing experience. The waxy flavor I got initially has settle down more into a woodsy and slightly sweet hay and honey. The cocoa remains but isn’t as predominant. A mild leather is mixed in but not so much as to take over the other notes. This is turning into a really nice cigar.” –Diana (ArmyRN)
“All aboard the spice train. The spices from the first third have carried over and picked up the potency. Tastes like I opened my spice cabinet and am sampling all the jars. This cigar is a baking lesson of flavor. Finish is still short and the burn line is staying almost dead perfect. Smoke output is fantastic and aroma is too. Earth and a touch of chocolate detected as I move into the final third.” –Adam B. (Bushboy)
Final Third
Flavor: 93
Strength: Strong
Body/Complexity: Medium-Full
“No major changes heading into the final third. Coffee and rich earth, leather, pepper, cocoa, and some sweetness. As the cigar nears the end there’s hinds of baking spices and cream. Unfortunately they’re fleeting and there’s a slight bitterness that takes over at the very end. Still, overall a solid third.” –Derek (StogieNinja)
“Final third, as expected, is also loaded with baking spices. Marzipan, cinnamon, nutmeg, etc… Very mouth watering and producing a fantastic aroma still. The strength has picked up considerably and compliments the full flavors. Smoke this one slow. Marshmallow sweetness on the finish. ” –Adam B. (Bushboy)
Overall Impressions
Draw: 95
“The draw is the main reason why I enjoyed this cigar. It had a lot of smoke production and it was very easy to get a mouthful of smoke.” –Daniel S. (Daniel S.)
Burn: 92
“There were no issues at all. I lit it once and it never waivered. ” –Jeff (ExpendableYouth)
Construction: 92
“Very solid constructed cigar with no construction issues. The cigar burned cool and stayed firm in my hand the intire time smoking the cigar.” –Daniel S. (Daniel S.)
Overall Strength: Strong
Overall Body/Complexity: Medium-Full
Experience Overall: 92
“This turned out to be a very good smoking experience. Lots of flavor even with a slightly faster than usual smoke time. I found myself nubbing it. It was rich in smoke and very earthy in flavors. The hint of sweetness, honey, is enough of a balance to make things interesting. It is powerful and will catch up with you if not ready. This left my palette satisfied and full.” –Diana (ArmyRN)
“Overall I really enjoyed this cigar. Spicy and filled with tons of flavor. The different spices blended together and were hard to differentiate at times, but tasted fantastic. Great burn and smoke output for the effort out in. I would definitely smoke this cigar again. ” –Adam B. (Bushboy)
“The look and the draw of the cigar are the two things that stuck out to me. As I was smoking this cigar I was hypnotized by watching the oily wrapper burn down. The overall flavors were underwhelming and lacked complexity. Not sure if I would smoke this cigar again due to being bored by the one note flavors.” –Daniel S. (Daniel S.)
“Overall a good stick ahtough I wouldn’t seek this particular example out again. While I appreciated the rich coffee and earth flavors, it wasn’t particularly well balanced. The hints of baking spices and cream near the end revealed what had been missing throughout and would have given a bit more balance. ” –Derek (StogieNinja)
“This was a great cigar. All of the favors really stood out and were crisp and clean. The profile changes happened often enough that I never got bored and was always looking forward to the next third. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a medium-full cigar with a lot of character. ” –Jeff (ExpendableYouth)
