Cigar Dojo and Cubariqueño have announced a collaboration in the creation of a new cigar, the Protocol K9. Cubariqueño’s releases have been themed around law enforcement with their Protocol, Probable Cause, and Themis releases. Eric Guttormson’s brother-in-law is a K9 officer so it’s only fitting that their collaboration would center around a K9 theme.
The vitola chosen for this project is fat 5″ x 56 “Fur Missile” (loving nickname for K9 companions) robusto extra vitola, and will be sold exclusively at Famous Smoke Shop.
Protocol K9 by Cigar Dojo and Cubariqueño is said to be a full-bodied pepper bomb. This cigar is rolled at Erik Espinosas La Zona factory in Estelí along with all previous Cubariqueño cigars. The blend is Nicaraguan puro featuring a Nicaraguan Habano Rosado wrapper.
The cigar goes on sale 12pm (Eastern Time) on Friday, March 23rd, through Famous’ online store. There will also be a launch event prior featuring bundles for sale at 10am at the physical store location in Easton, PA. at their in-house Leaf Cigar Bar, where the Cigar Dojo staff and Cubariqueño will be in attendance.
This is a limited release of 3,000 cigars and will sell for $89.99 per bundle of 10 cigars.
