Cigar News: DeSocio Series gets a Rocky Patel Release

The next Alliance Cigar DeSocio series release will come from none other than Rocky Patel Premium Cigars (RPCC). The new Rocky Patel DeSocio will be a corona gorda vitola of the highly acclaimed Sun Grown Maduro line. The Sun Grown Maduro DeSocio will feature Nicaraguan filler and binder tobacco, with a classic Connecticut broadleaf wrapper. The blend is the same that garnered RPCC their highest ever ranking in CA magazine.

“We are honored and proud of our 15-plus year friendship and working relationship with Rocky and Nish Patel. This addition to our DeSocio Series is a result of our friendship and passion for the small craft artistry of our industry.” said Tom Sullivan, president and owner of Alliance Cigar.

Sullivan and Nish Patel, executive vice president at RPPC, collaborated directly on this project. “Tommy has been a longtime friend and business partner,” he said. “The decision to work together on an extension to his DeSocio brand via the Sun Grown Maduro brand was a no-brainer.” said Rocky Patel, owner and founder of RPCC.

The Sun Grown Maduro DeSocio is the eighth release in the series and will be available to all of Alliance’s preferred vendors starting in May of 2018. The cigar measures 5 ¾ x 46 and will sell at an MSRP of $8.25/cigar.
