Plasencia Cigars has announced the release of a new limited edition cigar, “The Year of the Dragon,” in celebration of the Chinese New Year. This release marks the fourth special edition by the company to commemorate the occasion. Slated for release this month, the cigar features a Torpedo 6 ½ x 54 Vitola and only 3,000 boxes have been produced for distribution worldwide.
Reflecting the Chinese zodiac’s fifth symbol, the dragon, which is associated with luck, honor, and strength, Plasencia aims to parallel these qualities with its family values. The dragon’s representation of talent and excellence also aligns with the family’s legacy in the tobacco industry, dating back to 1865.
The “Year of the Dragon” cigar is crafted entirely with tobacco sourced from Plasencia‘s farms in Nicaragua. The medium-bodied cigar is noted for its robust and bold character, providing a smooth, peppery, and earthy profile.
The dragon is an animal that perfectly represents our family’s drive for excellence. We look forward to celebrating the Chinese New Year with the public via this special offering.
CEO Nestor Andres Plasencia
With the Chinese New Year beginning on February 10, 2024, the “Year of the Dragon” cigars will be available at a retail price of $45 each, with ten-count boxes priced at $450.
